Grand Inauguration in the Presence of Marwar Royalty The hostel was formally inaugurated by Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji of Marwar and Meghraj Singh Royal during a distinguished ceremony attended by community leaders and well-wishers. A Unique Architectural Achievement in India Built at a cost of several crores of rupees, Shri Kalyan Memorial Girls Hostel stands apart for its remarkable architectural design and sustainability-focused construction.
Constructed entirely from traditional Jodhpur sandstone, the structure has been built without the use of cement or reinforced concrete (RCC), making it a rare example of environmentally conscious architecture. The design combines traditional craftsmanship with long-term durability and sustainability.
According to project planners, the building has been designed to remain structurally strong for approximately two centuries with minimal renovation requirements. This makes it not only a hostel but also a model of sustainable infrastructure development.
The hostel offers modern three-star residential facilities, including secure accommodation, hygienic dining services, dedicated study areas, and an environment that supports academic excellence and personal development.
Community Support Strengthens the Mission The commitment to girls’ education received a major boost when renowned philanthropist and social worker Samundar Singh Nosar announced that he would bear the complete operational expenses of the hostel for one year.
This generous contribution ensures that the institution can continue providing high-quality facilities and support services to its residents while focusing on its mission of educational empowerment.
To recognize his contribution, a special felicitation ceremony was organized by the United Global Peace Foundation. During the event, Meghraj Singh Royal honored Samundar Singh Nosar with a traditional turban and memento as a token of gratitude.
Several distinguished guests and community members, including Surendra Singh, Shravan Singh, Tejpal Singh, and other dignitaries, attended the ceremony.
